2. in editing interface for a profile in light grey it now shows YYYY MM DD in empty date fields, but filled fields are in YYYY/MM/DD format - none of this is ISO 8601
3. page display is not affected by the change in date format
on merge pages dates are shown in US format, e.g. "3/30/2013"
on message pages dates are shown in US format, e.g, "8/27/2022 at 12:48"
on revision pages : "Changes from 5/8/2018 at 14:18 to today at 11:40"

Carbon footprint

Linking to Wikimedia: People manually add links to Wikipedia language editions, the information could more efficiently be stored by having a dedicated field for the Wikidata QID. From there the articles of individual language editions are easily obtained. Example: https://www.geni.com/people/Ernst-Alfred-Cassirer/6000000011627267683 in the about section links to http://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ernst_Cassirer and http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ernst_Cassirer but as of 2022-08-30 there are links to 50 Wikipedias https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Q57188#sitelinks-wikipedia , one could use https://hub.toolforge.org/ and link to https://hub.toolforge.org/Q57188?lang=en https://hub.toolforge.org/Q57188?lang=fr etc. Geni could reduce storage space and editing time by only storing the Wikidata QID.
